L'Etica come risorsa economica: Prospettiva storica e riscontri empirici nel tessuto imprenditoriale campano

This doctoral thesis investigates the relationship between ethics and economics through an integrated historical, theoretical, and empirical approach. The primary objective is twofold: to demonstrate that business ethics is a constitutive driver of competitiveness rather than an external constraint, and to empirically verify this assumption within the territory of Campania (Italy). Focusing on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), the research argues that geographic proximity and social ...

Il Sostegno Aziendale alle Arti “Corporate Support for the Arts-CSA”: dalle Sponsorizzazioni agli Ecosistemi cultural

Corporate Support for the Arts (CSA) - corporate investment in arts and culture - remains one of the least theorized dimensions of Corporate Social Responsibility. Despite the marked growth of CSA, spanning philanthropy, sponsorship, cultural partnerships, corporate collections, and arts-based initiatives, the academic literature remains fragmented and still lacks an integrative framework. This study addresses that gap through an inductive qualitative investigation of fourteen Italian compani...

Identification and Control of Two Classes of Boolean Networks and the Applications in Game Theory

Abstract Boolean networks (BNs), also referred to as two-valued logical dynamical systems, provide a powerful discrete dynamical framework for modeling and analyzing complex systems in biology, engineering, and computer science. They also serve as an effective representation for bi-strategy evolutionary dynamics in finite-player games. Evolutionary game theory on complex networks has emerged as an important framework for studying collective behavior in systems with strategic interactions. In ...

LE RETI NEURALI ARTIFICIALI PER LA STIMA DEI FLUSSI DI TRAFFICO NELL’AMBITO DEI SISTEMI DI MONITORAGGIO

This doctoral thesis, titled "Artificial Neural Networks for Traffic Flow Estimation in Monitoring Systems," investigates the application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) to enhance mobility flow monitoring within Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The primary objective is to evaluate the ability of ANNs to perform spatial extension of data—specifically, to estimate traffic or passenger flows on unmonitored links of a network based on real-time data collected from a limited number ...

Three-Dimensional Modelling and Analysis of Slope Instability in Complex Geological Environments

This doctoral thesis presents an advanced methodological framework for the stability analysis of complex slopes, applied to the Montaguto landslide (Avellino, Italy), with a specific focus on the “La Montagna” sector. The research aims to overcome the inherent limitations of traditional two-dimensional modelling by adopting an integrated three-dimensional approach. The study begins with a rigorous geological and structural characterization, alongside a detailed geomechanical and geotechnical ...
