talian schools, for the first time ever, are facing a major crisis that not only affects the healthcare sphere of the emergency, but also the social implications that a difficult situation has manifested. In order to ensure a necessary didactic activity, schools and, in general, all training and educational agencies have had to deal with a new way of "teaching" and to understand a "new educational relationship", namely "distance teaching". Digital, in this sense, has represented the last resort to shape a concrete solution in order to guarantee the continuity of a service that otherwise would necessarily have had to be suspended. The objective of the following work is, therefore, to try to clarify the term "distance learning" by proposing an in-depth analysis of some platforms used by schools during the lockdown period in Italy. In this regard, a series of digital platforms proposed by MIUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research)1 are considered in order to provide schools with useful tools to make dis- tance learning more effective. Considering the suggestions of MIUR we will try to make a taxonomy of the different platforms most used by the Italian Schools with the intent to produce a synthesis of the main features.

Abstract
talian schools, for the first time ever, are facing a major crisis that not only affects the healthcare sphere of the emergency, but also the social implications that a difficult situation has manifested. Considering the suggestions of MIUR we will try to make a taxonomy of the different platforms most used by the Italian Schools with the intent to produce a synthesis of the main features.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
