Tourism in inner areas, although it has seen significant growth in recent years, still shows substantial weaknesses in the ability to organize, manage, and communicate the territorial tourism offer according to a destination-based approach. These limitations, combined with structural and infrastructural shortcomings, impede the development of an integrated and diversified tourism product capable of strengthening the area’s attractiveness and increasing visitor satisfaction. Starting from a brief theoretical review of destination management and the main approaches to the establishment of a DMO, this contribution proposes an initial exploratory overview of the current state of DMO recognition processes in Campania, in light of the new regional guidelines. The objective is to understand whether these approaches can foster the adoption of a new model of coordinated and integrated tourism governance, especially in inner areas.

Abstract
The objective is to understand whether these approaches can foster the adoption of a new model of coordinated and integrated tourism governance, especially in inner areas.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
