This publication presents selected contributions from the NATO Advanced Training Course (ATC) on Autonomous Sea Navigation, held from 28 September to 4 October 2025 in Batumi, Georgia. The event was held as a hybrid workshop, and brought together researchers, engineers, policymakers, and industry experts to address the challenges and opportunities associated with the deployment of autonomous and semi-autonomous maritime systems. The 11 papers here cover 4 topic groups: those in the first 2 groups analyze general aspects and the technology employed in MASS, while the remainder describe MASS operations and opportunities. Emphasis is placed throughout on the importance of robustness in the on-board technology and resilience of the infrastructure, as well as functionality and monitoring. This approach helped to pinpoint potential threats such as terrorism, cyber-attacks, or natural events, modeling the behavior of critical infrastructure under such threats and exploring adequate means of protection from them.

Abstract
This approach helped to pinpoint potential threats such as terrorism, cyber-attacks, or natural events, modeling the behavior of critical infrastructure under such threats and exploring adequate means of protection from them.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
