The Southern Question reflects the disparities in development between Southern regions and the rest of Italy. This gap emerged in the early 20th century and has become paradigmatic in national and international economic literature. Attention to North- South dualism increased after World War II, with roots traceable to the 1930s influencing policies in the 1950s. Although many women scholars contributed to the issue, they have not received the recognition they deserve. This paper aims to explore and highlight their analyses and reflections on this topic, found in publications in Italian economic journals from 1930 to 1950.
