Over the past decade, the Italian government has provided funding for retrofitting private and public buildings with aim to improve their energy efficiency. This financial support has led to an increase in energy retrofit interventions aimed at improving the insulation capacity of the building envelope. However, to date, knowledge of the effects of frame-coat interaction on the seismic response of structures is limited. In addition, only few experimental tests are available on these systems. To address this gap, a pseudo-dynamic test campaign was conducted on a two-story infilled reinforced concrete frame retrofitted with a thermal insulation coat. The assessment of the additional strength and stiffness provided by the thermal coat was done. Furthermore, the damage of the structural and non-structural elements, including that of the thermal coat, was assessed.

Abstract
Furthermore, the damage of the structural and non-structural elements, including that of the thermal coat, was assessed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
