The contemporary challenge of moving from the management of diversity representation towards the engendering of inclusive practices (Mor Barak, 2016) has been addressed by Ilaria Boncori with this unique edited book that collects a series of personal and subject narratives on LGBTIQ+ matters. Ilaria does not start from the so-called ‘gap in the literature’, choosing instead to address a more human and social gap: despite the abundance of groups, conferences, authors, books, policies and practices focusing on the LGBTIQ+ community, this body of research seems to stand per se, without being embedded in a broader social context. Indeed, in a context where we are sometimes too much interested in highlighting the danger for organizations of forms of discrimination and harassment, we seem to forget which strategies and actions should be undertaken when approaching LGBTIQ+ matters.

Abstract
The contemporary challenge of moving from the management of diversity representation towards the engendering of inclusive practices (Mor Barak, 2016) has been addressed by Ilaria Boncori with this unique edited book that collects a series of personal and subject narratives on LGBTIQ+ matters. Ilaria does not start from the so-called ‘gap in the literature’, choosing instead to address a more human and social gap: despite the abundance of groups, conferences, authors, books, policies and practices focusing on the LGBTIQ+ community, this body of research seems to stand per se, without being embedded in a broader social context. Indeed, in a context where we are sometimes too much interested in highlighting the danger for organizations of forms of discrimination and harassment, we seem to forget which strategies and actions should be undertaken when approaching LGBTIQ+ matters.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
