In this paper, the architecture of a flexible, robust and low-power optimized data acquisition system for multidisciplinary underwater monitoring is proposed. An analysis of the power consumption of the proposed architecture is reported. Furthermore, two preliminary prototypes to measure temperature and acoustic emission in sub-marine applications are proposed. Preliminary tests are performed with the aim of validating the implemented prototypes.

Abstract
