For this reason, measurement approaches, decomposition methods and measurement instruments aimed at quantifying and analyzing jitter continue to be object of great interest both for researchers and manufacturers. Currently, various instruments are available to measure jitter, each one having specific advantages and disadvantages. To help engineers who deal with jitter measurements, this paper provides a schematic overview of the main types of instruments available on the market.
