This work presents the model of a Chemical Looping Combustion fixed bed reactors network for CH4 combustion. The network is made of couples of reactors arranged in series, the first one filled with a Cu-based oxygen carrier, already active at low temperature, while the second reactor exploits an Ni-based OC, which allows the achievement of high temperatures. The model developed will allow to evaluate the performances of the proposed reactor system in terms of both generated thermal power and flow and composition of gaseous current in output. The proposed two-stage CLC is shown to be able to reach same performances in terms of outlet gas temperature of a single carrier/single bed configuration while exposing each oxygen carrier to a narrower cyclic temperature increase.
