Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) is claimed to be a powerful tool in supporting change management processes. However, despite this potential, ONA is still not well understood beyond HR innovators. This empirical case study, conducted in a private Italian company, aimed to address this gap. It also aimed to provide the company management an x-ray of the state-of-the-art on their existing work, social, and values relationships, and how these could potentially be used to re-structure their ongoing change management initiatives that were not moving forward. Our analysis confirmed the value of ONA in change management processes, especially in their design and planning stage. The paper includes practical recommendations made to the Case company based on the research findings, as well as suggestions on how the paper can be further developed before the Conference.

Abstract
Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) is claimed to be a powerful tool in supporting change management processes. However, despite this potential, ONA is still not well understood beyond HR innovators. This empirical case study, conducted in a private Italian company, aimed to address this gap. It also aimed to provide the company management an x-ray of the state-of-the-art on their existing work, social, and values relationships, and how these could potentially be used to re-structure their ongoing change management initiatives that were not moving forward. Our analysis confirmed the value of ONA in change management processes, especially in their design and planning stage. The paper includes practical recommendations made to the Case company based on the research findings, as well as suggestions on how the paper can be further developed before the Conference.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
