Pebbles from middle Pliocene near Trevico, Flumeri and Carife in the Baronia region were analysed. The main lithological types were sandstones and limestones, with subordinate marls, quartzites, siltites and cherts. The morphometric characteristic of 229 sandstone and limestone clasts were defined. All morphometric parameters considered are compared with those reported in the literature, to highlight how the clasts were weathered by fluvial transport in a temperate or temperate-hot climate.

Abstract
Pebbles from middle Pliocene near Trevico, Flumeri and Carife in the Baronia region were analysed. The main lithological types were sandstones and limestones, with subordinate marls, quartzites, siltites and cherts. The morphometric characteristic of 229 sandstone and limestone clasts were defined. All morphometric parameters considered are compared with those reported in the literature, to highlight how the clasts were weathered by fluvial transport in a temperate or temperate-hot climate.File in questo prodotto:
