Il Canale di Suez: dalla progettualità agli impatti territoriali

The work is an integral part of the research «Enlargement of the canal. Possible benefits for the Italian system and policies for their maximization ». Specifically, this contribution deepens the history and structure of the Canal, the geo-economic and geopolitical problems in the system of international routes that have "imposed" gradual expansions over time, the opportunities for Egypt to compete with the main European logistic regions exploiting the centrality of the Canal, but above all the system of infrastructures and services provided by the Suez Canal Corridor Area Project (SCZone)

Il lavoro è parte integrante della ricerca «Ampliamento del canale di suez. Possibili benefici per il sistema Italia e politiche per una loro massimizzazione». Nello specifico questo contributo approfondisce la storia e la struttura del Canale, le problematiche geo-economiche e geopolitiche nel più ampio sistema delle rotte internazionali che hanno “imposto” nel tempo ampliamenti graduali fino al più recente del 2015, le opportunità per l’Egitto di competere con le principali regioni logistiche europee e meridionali sfruttando la centralità del Canale, ma soprattutto il sistema di infrastrutture e di servizi previsti dal Suez Canal Corridor Area Project (SCZone).
