The dynamics of air traffic are strictly dependent by the increasing demand generated by tourist and business and flight so the logistic have got a greater importance in the choices of airport management. In this paper we introduce a new optimization model of the check in desks management able to minimize the queues in front of a check in desk, balancing the employed workload. Besides we will introduce a linear programming model that, having as input the results of the first one, is able to identify the operating desks according to the work rules and to the quality service level. In the end, in order to test these models, we have successfully applied them to a primary airport operator company.

Abstract
The dynamics of air traffic are strictly dependent by the increasing demand generated by tourist and business and flight so the logistic have got a greater importance in the choices of airport management. In this paper we introduce a new optimization model of the check in desks management able to minimize the queues in front of a check in desk, balancing the employed workload. Besides we will introduce a linear programming model that, having as input the results of the first one, is able to identify the operating desks according to the work rules and to the quality service level. In the end, in order to test these models, we have successfully applied them to a primary airport operator company.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
