This paper proposes a general bus network design model which considers as decision variables, under the assumption of rigid demand, line routes, frequenzies and vehicle sizes. Under some assumptions, from this general model it is possible to obtain a simplified model for which a heuristic procedure is proposed and tested. The proposed model is a bilevel optimisation model: in the first level the bus routes and in the second level the vehicle sizes and the frequencies are optimised.

Abstract
This paper proposes a general bus network design model which considers as decision variables, under the assumption of rigid demand, line routes, frequenzies and vehicle sizes. Under some assumptions, from this general model it is possible to obtain a simplified model for which a heuristic procedure is proposed and tested. The proposed model is a bilevel optimisation model: in the first level the bus routes and in the second level the vehicle sizes and the frequencies are optimised.File in questo prodotto:
