Abstract We evaluate and map the anthropogeographic impact Index (Iia) as a factor of soil erosion related to land management of the agricultural laodscapes in the Benevento province of Soutbern Italy. In order to determine such lndex, 1981 -1999 time span data set regarding the number of cloudburst, the rain erosivity factor and their spatial structure have been analysed. The processing of structural data analysis with the adopted geostatistical techniques show the randomness of tbe spatial variabitity of cloudbursts aod rain-erosivity factor. The diversificate incidence on agricultural landscapes of these erosional factors make diversely vulnerable various piace due to wrong agcicultural practising and/or experimented environmental changing. Moreover, in that areas which are characterised by clayey soils with low vegetable biomass production or bares, the agricultural systems presently adopted and tbe absence of managements predispose the soil to erosion. So, verified for agricultural landscapes the interaction between extreme meteorological events and anthropogeographic features we reach to define an impact Index that is denouncing the disposition of sucb landscapes to erosion and helps to determine the soil resource conservation state in function of his social-economics and environmental utilization.
