The aim of the present paper was to take a floristic census qfthe "English garden" ofthe Royal Park at Caserta. For its history and development, this complex represents a real composite garden. In fact, the richness of plants makes this park unique to the whole Italian territory. The detailed knowledge of the taxonomic groups present in it is useful to put people in touch with this complex both for enjoying omamental plants and landscape and for cultural purposes. In fact, this latter aspect ofthe garden should be preserved and enhanced.
