Luminosity is one of the key concepts for accelerator design.When the design target is a narrow energy peak, the (collision) energy resolution becomes more relevant. In this paper, fairly accurate expressions for luminosity and energy resolution, based on the Gaussian approximations of the beam distribution function are given. All kinds of couplings are included.
